New School Uniform

Whilst there if no requirement for children to wear uniform with the school's logo if you wish to purchase such uniform please do so from Kids Zone in Crown Walk, Oakham or online from www.yourschooluniform.com

Second Hand Uniform

There is a rail of second hand uniform for sale outside the School Office Window.  Items range from 50p - £2.00 and can be purchased at anytime.  We always welcome good quality donations of uniform your child no longer uses.

Langham School Uniform

Unless stated as optional, all items below are the required school uniform

Red or white polo shirt (logo optional)

Plain grey or embroidered sweatshirt/cardigan 

Grey trousers, smart shorts, skirt or pinafore

Grey. black or white socks or tights

Sensible closed toe black shoes - no heel or slip on

Summer: A red and white checked dress may be worn

Winter: a warm coat 

All year: A waterproof coat/cagoule (optional)

All year: Simple/plain hair bands and clips to tie long hair.

PE 

White round neck T-shirt - plain or an embroidered school sports T-Shirt

Red shorts

Black tracksuit bottoms/leggings - may be worn during outside PE sessions in colder weather (recommended)

Trainers

Hair ties for long hair  - essential

Summer Requirement - Sun Protection A fabric sun hat (to be kept in PE kit for ready access)

Please note:

• Trousers, skirts and dresses can be purchased from the uniform departments of chain stores. Trousers reflecting ‘high street’ fashion or jeans style are not acceptable.

• Children need two pairs of shoes in school for indoor and outdoor wear. These should include one pair of black school shoes and a pair of trainers for outdoor P.E.

• No sunglasses.

• No jewellery, however, one pair of stud earrings and a watch are allowed. (Removed or adequately taped before school for PE and sport).

• No hair gel/ hair colouring or stencil designs.

• Long hair needs to be tied back at all times.

• No makeup or nail varnish to be worn.

• If the weather is wet or the ground is muddy children may keep a pair of wellington boots at school to use throughout the day.

• An embroidered red school fleece is available as an optional extra item in addition to the sweatshirt inside or used as an outside layer. This item is not to be worn in place of the school sweatshirt/cardigan.

• An embroidered lined waterproof coat for outdoor wear is available through www.yourschooluniform.com as an optional garment.

• ALL CLOTHING AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS MUST BE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH CHILD’S NAME
