I love the quirky ways of children; the way they so often nearly get things right but don’t quite. Maybe it is because being dyslexic myself (and not diagnosed until I was at my fourth university) I am aware of doing the same thing, as you will discover. When the children have again made us smile, it is often commented in the staff room that someone should write a book. Well I am not going to write a book, but I am going to be producing a termly blog with the intention of amusing but also letting you know some of the things we do to support children in school who have needs in addition to the usual teaching that is on offer. Sometimes they just need a little tweak to everyday provision and at other times something completely different. It is often said that what works for children who are dyslexic works for everyone and so there will be tips in there that will apply to all children, so please take a look and I hope you smile along with us.
The blog will be posted in the Parents Information section of the website, under the heading Special Educational Needs. Alternatively you can cut and paste the link below into your browser. http://www.langhamprimary.co.uk/blog/
