Our Curriculum
Please be aware that our curriculum is under continual review and some elements from our schemes of work might change as we respond to local and global issues, and of course, monitoring and evaluation.

Our Key Stage One children follow the Read Write Inc. phonics programme.  Read Write Inc. was developed by Ruth Miskin and provides a structured and systematic approach to teaching literacy. I t is used by more than a quarter of the UK's primary schools and is designed to create fluent readers, confident speakers and willing writers.

Our Curriculum is underpinned by EPIC Teaching and Learning.

To find out more about the curriculum our school is following, please email the school office who will pass you enquiry to the most appropriate member of staff: -

"Excellent teaching gives children the life chances they deserve...

Enjoyment is the birthright of every child.
The most powerful mix is the one that brings the two together. Children learn better when they are excited and engaged
- but what excites and engages them best is truly excellent teaching."

Do schools kill creativity? | Sir Ken Robinson

http://www.ted.com Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity. TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes -- including speakers such as Jill Bolte Taylor, Sir Ken Robinson, Hans Rosling, Al Gore and Arthur Benjamin.
