Nursery and Pre-School Group

Our Nursery Room

Our Nursery environment is designed specifically for children aged two years to age three, providing a nurturing atmosphere that feels like a home from home. In this safe and welcoming space, we recognise the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and security, which is fundamental to children's overall development.

Utilising the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, we promote learning through play, allowing children to explore the world around them in an engaging and stimulating manner. Our carefully curated activities are designed to inspire curiosity and creativity, with a strong emphasis on play-based learning. Example activities include messy play, which encourages sensory exploration, mark making to develop fine motor skills, and a focus on outdoor activities that enhance physical development and promote an appreciation for the natural environment.

We are dedicated to getting children ready for their next stage in their development, equipping them with the social, emotional, and cognitive skills necessary for future learning experiences. Our passionate team is committed to nurturing each child's unique abilities and interests, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported as they embark on their early educational journey.

Our pre-school room

Our pre-school room is designed for children aged three to four years, with a primary focus on their transition to primary school and overall school readiness. We understand the importance of fostering independence at this crucial stage of development while maintaining a strong emphasis on learning through play. Our activities are aligned with the seven areas of learning as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to education.

To support the physical development of our children, we host a multi-skills sports session once a week, aimed at enhancing their gross motor skills through engaging and enjoyable activities. Recognising the value of diverse environments for learning, we make it a priority to utilise the outdoors as much as possible, promoting exploration and discovery.

Additionally, we introduce phonics in a gentle manner by incorporating engaging stories and rhyming time into our daily routines. This approach not only helps develop early literacy skills but also enhances the children’s love for language and storytelling. Overall, our Pre-school room provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and prepare for their next educational journey.
