Pupil Involvement
The school puts an emphasis on developing leadership skills. Every Year 6 pupil has a leadership role in addition to being a House Captain.
The school has a thriving School Council. The Year 6 pupils who have a leadership role as a School Councillor are encouraged to be involved with the running of their school and any issues they wish to raise or suggestions they wish to make are considered by the whole of the Council Body and appropriate action is taken.
This gives the pupils a feeling of ownership as they know their views are valued, discussed and acted upon.
The school council are very proactive in raising funds for the school, PFA and charity events.
In addition to School Council roles, our Year 6 pupils lead in the following areas:
- Sports Ambassadors
- Playground Leaders
- Librarians
- Eco Warrior Leaders
All children across the school are encouraged to develop leadership skills through roles such as:
- Register Monitors
- Class Librarians
- Osprey Ambassadors
- Community Volunteers
